Title Agents – The keystone to the real estate transaction

No one touches more pieces of the real estate transaction than the title and closing professionals who work as the liaison between lenders, real estate agents, buyers and sellers, and escrow. With real estate projected to be in a growth mode in 2015, North American Title is committed to making sure we retain the highest levels of efficiency to stay in lockstep with the demands of the market and meet the rigorous standards of our customers.

Education is key to everyone’s success as we adapt to the new Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosures, as well as to the new Qualified Mortgage rules, which impact the ability for homebuyers to acquire financing.

Throughout the coming months, we will provide several resources to our agents to assist them to prepare for the transition to the new regulatory regime:

  1. In this section of the website, you can access the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Resources, which include full explanations of the new forms and training materials to assist you in understanding each of the rules governing the new forms.

  1. As an agent of North American Title Insurance Company (NATIC), you will have access to many resources via the AgentLink site. In addition to educational materials and bulletins, NATIC has created several webinars and continues to provide a wealth of information through its LookingNorth publication to make sure you are prepared for the nuances of the coming transition.

  1. We have created a series of educational videos for your Real Estate, Lender, and Home Buyer and Seller customers on our new  NAT TV site. Visit www.nat.com/NATTV to see a list of general real estate and CFPB videos.
  2. Our corporate staff is working diligently to make sure you have the necessary technology updates and legal guidance to make you an effective and knowledgeable partner for your customers.
